It is official: HKV and Svašek are one organization as of April 10, 2025! This fulfills a long-cherished ambition.

Svašek is a specialized consultancy in the field of coastal engineering, port design and river engineering. With extensive knowledge of numerical modeling of currents, waves, sediment transport and morphological evolution, Svašek provides solutions and data to port authorities, contractors, shipping companies and various governments. Svašek is located in Rotterdam.

HKV is a knowledge-driven consultancy firm in the field of flood protection and water management, particularly in freshwater and delta systems. Drawing on expertise from various disciplines and operating from offices in Delft, Amersfoort and Lelystad, HKV advises national and international authorities, the Delta Program, water authorities and provinces on a wide range of development issues.  HKV also supplies water information and forecasting systems.

It therefore feels very logical to continue as one organization. Together we deliver even better solutions for issues in fresh and salt water. We will continue to spend 10% of our turnover on our own research and development.

Svašek is a 100% subsidiary of HKV. HKV and Svašek will continue to work under their own names in their own areas of expertise and will increasingly join forces as a combination. One organization, two strong brands and a hundred professionals, working together to tackle the complex challenges of our clients with even more conviction.
